Labour Resources. 8.6.1 It is agreed between the parties that the company will primarily hire employees who have been trained and received their qualification under the Victorian Training System.
Labour Resources a) To assist in achieving adequate standards of competence and associated safe work practices, it is agreed between the parties that the Employer will primarily hire employees who have been trained and received their qualification or are recognised under the Australian Licensing and Qualifications Framework. Employees who haven’t been trained and received their qualification or are recognised under the Australian Licensing and Qualifications Framework shall only work under direct supervision of Employees who have been trained and received their qualification or are recognised under the Australian Licensing and Qualifications Framework.
Labour Resources. It is agreed between the Parties that the Company will endeavour to primarily hire Employees who have either been trained and received their qualification under the Victorian Training System or hold qualifications to meet the equivalent Victorian standards. The need to use resources from Overseas or Interstate will be discussed at Consultative Committee meetings where the scope of work, the volumes and the locations of the work undertaken by such resources will be assessed to determine if an opportunity exists to create employ a suitably qualified local resource or to increase the number of trainees or apprentices currently employed with a view to a longer term solution for the shortage of suitably qualified personnel. The Company in all cases will comply with statutory requirements as to licensing and registration and will not abrogate their responsibilities. The Company will not put the Employees or others at risk by using personnel that do not hold the appropriate qualifications.
