Jury Duty/Required Attendance at Court. For the duration of the Jury Duty, or required attendance at an Inquest or court (subpoenaed witness), the employee's normal base earnings and benefits will be maintained. The employee is responsible for informing his/her supervisor as to the probable duration of the jury duty.

Jury Duty/Required Attendance at Court. 18.1 For the duration of the Jury Duty, or required attendance at an Inquest or court, the Employee’s normal base earnings and benefits will be maintained. The Employee is responsible for informing their Immediate Supervisor as to the probable duration of the Jury Duty. Upon return to work the Employee shall refund any jury or witness fees received and provide the Employer with a Certificate of Service signed by the Clerk of the Court showing the amount of said fee received. It is agreed that this provision does not apply to arbitration or Ontario Labour Relations Board proceedings.

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee. Any hours worked beyond the regularly scheduled workday shall be subject to the workweek and overtime provisions (Article I). An employee may request a change in regularly scheduled working hours to a Monday through Friday day shift for the duration of such jury duty. Such requests shall be granted if practicable.
