JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. An employee (other than a casual employee) who is required to attend for jury service or who is subpoenaed or called as a witness in an official capacity, or by the Crown, shall be considered to be on duty while serving in such a capacity. JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. 18.01 When an employee is required to serve on a jury or as a subpoenaed witness and is prevented from performing his regular duties because of time required to serve in this capacity, he shall be paid a make‑up pay for time lost repre‑ senting the difference between his fees from the court and his normal earnings for regular hours during the period of such jury service.

An employee who loses time from his or her assigned schedule of work because of jury duty service or to testify pursuant to a subpoena shall be paid for such time lost at his or her hourly rate plus shift or special schedule premium, if applicable. Jury duty and witness fees shall be offset against such pay. Except as otherwise provided in this agreement, such jury duty and witness service shall be considered time worked. The employee shall furnish the College a written statement from the court showing the days of jury duty or witness service and the amount of jury duty or witness fees he or she was eligible to receive for each day.

The employee will report for available work when released from jury duty or witness service. Pay for court appearance shall not apply if the employee is a party to the legal action.
JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. 24.04 Employees who are required by law to serve as jurors or witnesses in any court shall be granted leave of absence for this purpose. Providing that the employee concerned deposits with the University any pay received, other than expenses, no deduction in salary shall be made for such absence.
JURY AND WITNESS SERVICE. Section 1. Employees selected for jury duty or subpoenaed for witness service will be allowed the necessary time off to perform the service. Employees must contact their immediate supervisor prior to reporting for jury duty or subpoenaed witness service. An employee who reports and is then released from service must immediately contact the employee's supervisor to coordinate return to work. The Company will make reasonable allowances for travel and shift schedules.
