JUROR OR WITNESS. A teacher is entitled to his or her salary despite absence from duty by reason of a summons to serve as a juror, as a summons as a witness in any proceeding to which the teacher is not a party or one of the persons charged, provided that the teacher pays to the Board any fee, exclusive of travelling allowances and living expenses, that the teacher receives as a juror or as a witness. The teacher will present proof of service and the amount of payment received.
