Joint Management. 33.1. The Authorities shall manage and operate the Joint Contract jointly through the CMO. The Authorities’ Authorised Officer will be the key contact in the CMO for the Service Provider. Except where essential in a civil emergency, the Authorities shall communicate with the Service Provider through the CMO only.

The quantity is determined each Day by multiplying the Storage Capacity by the Maximum Stock Level for the Day in question.

Joint Management. Joint management is about Traditional Owners and the Parks and Wildlife Service working together in partnership to manage the Park. It is about the partners sharing their knowledge, values and interests, along with the values and interests of the wider community, to jointly make decisions in relation to all aspects of the Park’s management. In 2005 the Territory Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act (TPWCA) was amended to provide for joint management of 27 parks and reserves that were subject to the Parks and Reserves (Framework for the Future) Act. The “Framework Act” provided for the settlement of land and/or native title claims over these areas and created the framework for their joint management. Watarrka is one of the parks subject to these joint management arrangements. The land subject to this Joint Management Plan is NT Parks Freehold land that will be held by the Watarrka Land Trust on behalf of Traditional Owners and leased back to the Northern Territory Government for 99 years. The terms of joint management for the Park have authority in law under the TPWCA, the Watarrka Lease and an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) registered under the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth). Selected parts of the TPWCA are given in Appendix 1. This Plan complies with all of these legal instruments. The TPWCA, defines the joint management partners as the Park’s Traditional Owners and the Parks and Wildlife Service (on behalf of the Northern Territory Government). Section 25AB of the Act states: The objective of joint management of a park or reserve is to jointly establish an equitable partnership to manage and maintain the park or reserve as part of a comprehensive and representative system of parks and reserves in the Territory and for the following purposes:

Older People and People with Physical Disabilities An Aberdeenshire-wide Joint Older People’s Management Team of health and social work managers is responsible for planning and development of services for older people, people with physical and sensory disabilities, people with chronic and acute illness, and palliative and terminal care. Reporting to this group are three locality management groups with paired health and social work managers leading the process of integration for locality teams and services. Services are delivered through 24 Health and Community Care Teams jointly managed by paired first-line social work (7) and health (9) managers. Paired mangers meet monthly as the Health and Community Care Development group. In most teams, a team member acts as co-ordinator for day-to-day operations and to promote integrated working, often on a rotational basis. These teams are not only taking forward single assessment and joint care planning but are participating in the local management of services
