The Committee shall oversee the apprenticeship system under the control of the Trustees of the District Council 16 Northern California Journeyman & Apprentice Training Trust Fund.

JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COMMITTEE. 50.1. The Employer and the Union have entered into a separate agreement for the establishment of standards of apprenticeship. The standards of apprenticeship require the establishment of a Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (J.A.T.C.). In order to clarify the Committee's function, the following shall apply: The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee shall approve all apprenticeship programs, including training programs, course content, the development of a monitoring system to comply with the established programs, and the development of a verification and certification procedure for compliance. The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee shall not be responsible for the establishment of pay rates, job descriptions, or contract language for the implementation of those programs.

This Standard addresses the requirement of wearing a respirator for first responders to emergencies caused by fires in the Company’s indoor substations. The Company proposes the following to address the Fire Entry Procedure and the impact on employees.
JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COMMITTEE. A. The Employer agrees to contribute to a Trust Fund for a Training Program on all hours paid or owed for all classifications covered by this agreement according to the following schedule: April 1, 2012 $0.60 per hour April 1, 2013 $0.64 per hour April 1, 2014 $0.66 per hour B. The JATC and the Health & Safety Committee shall consist of Four Employer appointed Trustees, who each shall maintain an employment relationship with an Employer signatory to this Agreement; and four Union appointed Trustees, three of whom shall be Business Representatives of District Council 36 and one of whom, shall be a rank and file member of Local 510. The JATC shall select and employ a Training Coordinator as required. Such individual shall take direction from and be responsible to the JATC.

JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COMMITTEE. The Local Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC ) properly established between the Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the Local Union of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) shall adopt local Residential Apprenticeship Standards in conformance with the NJATC National Guideline Standards and Policies. All such standards shall be registered with the NJATC, and thereafter submitted to the appropriate Registration Agency. The JATC shall be responsible for all training. The JATC however, may elect to establish a subcommittee consisting of two (2) to four (4) members appointed by the IBEW Local Union, and an equal number of members appointed by the NECA Chapter. The JATC or its properly established subcommittee shall be responsible for the conduct and operation of the Residential Apprenticeship and Training Program in accordance with the standards and the policies adopted by the local JATC. The duties of the subcommittee, where one exists, shall include: interviewing, ranking, and selecting applicants and the supervision of all apprentices in accordance with the registered standards and locally approved JATC policies.
JOINT APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING COMMITTEE. Section 1. The Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee shall be responsible for the administration and operation of the local apprenticeship program and Journeyman Advance Training.

  • JOINT APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE There is hereby established a Joint Apprenticeship Committee as defined in paragraph (c) hereof. This Committee shall be composed of four (4) members, two (2) representing the Company and two (2) Journeymen/women employees representing the Union. The Chairperson shall be the Supervisor of Apprentices. The Committee shall meet once a month unless otherwise agreed. It shall be the duty of the Committee:

  • Apprenticeship Training The enterprise agrees to work with the union to improve apprenticeship training and the number of apprentices in training.

  • APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE The central parties agree that within sixty (60) days of the commencement of this agreement, a joint local committee consisting of up to three representatives each will be formed to discuss the feasibility of establishing an apprenticeship program(s). If such a program is deemed feasible, the local parties will determine the terms and conditions of such program(s). The joint local committee will seek the availability of any federal or provincial funds to cover the costs of such programs.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • Apprenticeship Program 62. The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs. The specific provisions of the apprenticeship programs shall be subject to agreement between the City, the Civil Service Commission (where appropriate), and the Union. Each apprenticeship program, however, shall contain at least the following terms:

  • Apprenticeships 20.1 The parties are committed to providing increased employment opportunities for apprentices and trainees through an effective manufacturing industry policy and an increase in apprenticeship places in the TAFE system.

  • Apprenticeship 7.01 At such time, the parties agree to a training program, it is agreed to contact the California Nevada JATC to establish such program.

  • Adult Apprentices People who are 21 years of age or over at the time of entering into an apprenticeship with the Employer will be paid as per the wage rates set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement. Where special or unusual circumstances occur or apply and where the parties to this Agreement and the adult apprentice agree in writing, the adult apprentice may be paid at a lesser rate, provided that the lesser rate will not be less than the rate for a junior apprentice set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement.

  • Apprenticeship Supervision All apprentices shall be supervised by an appropriately qualified tradesperson. The parties shall implement the ESV’s “Supervision guidelines for apprentices working on electrical installations”. These guidelines were developed by the Industry parties under the auspices of the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector.

  • Staffing Committee A. Responsibilities. The Nurse Staffing Committee (“NSC”) shall be responsible for determining the Institute’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.
