JOINT APPRENTICE COMMITTEE. The Union and the Company shall establish work location joint committees at each location where apprentices are employed to provide assistance to any matters relative to apprentice training and scheduling. The parties will be agreement assign work location joint committees at major terminals to serve as the committees for outlying running point locations. Work Location Joint Apprenticeship Committees (WLJAC) as identified in this Letter of Understanding shall be guaranteed adequate and sufficient time to discharge the necessary responsibilities assigned to them under the terms of the Agreement and by the parties. The Company will continue wages and benefits and necessary expenses of employee members. WLJAC will be comprised of two Local Unifor representatives, and two Local Management employees. They must meet four times per year or as required. Separate Motive Power and Car committees will be established where deemed necessary.

JOINT APPRENTICE COMMITTEE. There is hereby established a Joint Apprentice and Training Committee equally represented by members of Local Unions 463, and 158 and management to administer and determine policy, to maintain and organize a planned system of training and upgrading to Insure a sufficient number of skilled technical engineers to fulfill the industry's requirements.

  • JOINT APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE There is hereby established a Joint Apprenticeship Committee as defined in paragraph (c) hereof. This Committee shall be composed of four (4) members, two (2) representing the Company and two (2) Journeymen/women employees representing the Union. The Chairperson shall be the Supervisor of Apprentices. The Committee shall meet once a month unless otherwise agreed. It shall be the duty of the Committee:

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • Staffing Committee 1. The Nurse Staffing Committee (NSC) shall be responsible for determining the Hospital’s staffing plan and resolving complaints raised by nurses regarding the implementation of the plan as well as those activities required of it under RCW 70.41, et seq and its successors.

  • Safety Committee 62.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

  • Study Committee The parties shall utilize the Benefits Advisory Committee, with equal membership by the State and the VSEA, for the purpose of reviewing all issues related to health care and prescription drugs, and recommending changes to the bargaining committees. The parties shall also establish a special study committee to evaluate the current health plans, and make recommendations to the bargaining committees of the State and employees for sustainable savings in the health care plans.

  • Scheduling Committee (a) The parties agree to the formation of a Scheduling Committee to discuss and assist in resolving scheduling issues.

  • Committee Composition The Redeployment Committee shall be comprised of equal numbers of representatives of the Hospital and of the Union. The number of representatives will be determined locally. Where for the purposes of HTAP (the Ontario Hospital Training and Adjustment Panel) there is another hospital-wide staffing and redeployment committee created or in existence, Union members of the Redeployment Committee shall serve on any such hospital-wide staffing committee established with the same or similar terms of reference, and the number of Union members on such committee will be proportionate to the number of its bargaining unit members at the particular Hospital in relation to other staff groups. Meetings of the Redeployment Committee shall be held during normal working hours. Time spent attending such meetings shall be deemed to be work time for which the representative(s) shall be paid by the Hospital at his or her regular or premium rate as may be applicable. Each party shall appoint a co-chair for the Redeployment Committee. Co-chairs shall chair alternative meetings of the Committee and will be jointly responsible for establishing the agenda of the Committee meetings, preparing minutes and writing such correspondence as the Committee may direct.
