Common use of JOB CLASSIFICATIONS Clause in Contracts

JOB CLASSIFICATIONS. 24.01 Where the Region has determined that a new classification is required within the bargaining unit, or where the Region has made extensive changes in the duties of an existing classification and has established the rate for such job, the Region will negotiate the same with the Union. This clause shall also apply where the duties of an employee have changed extensively to place the job in a different classification. This clause shall not be used to by-pass the job posting process.
