January Hires Sample Clauses

January Hires. Tenure-track faculty whose appointments start in January will have their reviews for major personnel actions – reappointments through the tenure decision year, promotion to the ranks of associate professor and professor and the award of tenure – commence during the following September in accordance with the aforementioned procedures. The promotion salary increase shall be retroactive to the anniversary of the January start date.

  • April a candidate for promotion shall give written notice to the Chair of the DRC and her Xxxx that an application is to be made. Within two weeks, the Xxxx shall forward a list of candidates for promotion to the Vice-President (Academic).

  • March the URC shall forward its written recommendation to the candidate, the President, the Xxxx and the DRC;

  • Ten Month Employees Employees appointed on a regular 10-month basis (those employed for the standard academic year beginning September 1 to June 30) generally receive benefits on a pro rata basis except for holiday pay which will be granted for those holidays that fall during the academic year only.

  • OCTOBER the candidate's academic file is brought up to date for evaluation and the Vice-President (Academic) shall place the external references in the candidate’s academic file. The candidate may provide an update to her letter of application in a separate document. The letter of application as sent to the external reviewers must remain in the file;

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.
