Interviewing Opportunity. On commencing employment the employee's immediate supervisor shall introduce the new employee to his/her union officer or representative so that he/she is aware of the union, the existence of the collective agreement and the determination of the parties to maintain harmonious labour relations. The President of the union or his/her designate shall be given an opportunity once per month for a maximum of thirty minutes to meet with regular and temporary employees hired during the previous month for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and his/her responsibilities and obligations to the University and the Union.
