Internet Usage. A. In order to be granted access to the Board’s network and the Internet and to receive an e-mail account, bargaining unit members must read, complete and execute the Application for Access and Terms and Conditions for Use of the Internet. Bargaining unit members are required to comply with the Board’s Acceptable Use and Internet Safety Policy, its related guidelines, and/or the terms and conditions contained in the Application for Access and Terms and Conditions for Use of the Internet. A copy of the executed Application will be provided to the bargaining unit member.
Internet Usage. Contact the school’s office to view a copy of the Internet Usage Policy and/or the Student Responsibilities in Usage Policy. These policies are also found on the district’s website (xxxxxxxxx.xxx).
Internet Usage. The District provides the staff member no expectation of privacy in the use of District computers, e-mail or internet facilities. Staff members, however, shall not be liable for receipt of unsolicited e-mail or spam. A staff member shall notify their immediate supervisor of any unsolicited e-mail of an inappropriate nature within a reasonable period after receipt of said e-mail. Staff members may make reasonable personal use of District computers, e-mail and internet access, subject to rules and regulations agreed upon by the District and the Association. The parties agree that the email and internet access shall not be used in violation of the Illinois Ethics Act.
Internet Usage. School staff is responsible for monitoring district personal computing device usage, district Internet system usage, work in progress, and online activities of minors while at school. Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring the usage of district personal computing devices, district Internet systems, and access to information on the Internet while at home. Each student and his/her parent/guardian should be aware that the Webster Parish School Board does not have control of the information on the Internet, nor can it provide comprehensive barriers to students accessing information on the Internet. Sites accessible via the Internet may contain material that is illegal, defamatory, inaccurate, illicit, or potentially offensive to some people. While the Webster Parish School Board makes efforts to filter objectionable content on district personal computing devices and district Internet systems both at school and at home, parents and guardians must remain diligent in observing student behavior when using these devices at home, including the sites visited by the student and communications to and from the student while using the devices. Should access to an inappropriate site occur, or should a student send or receive inappropriate content while using a district personal computing device or district Internet system, the student must notify their teacher or building level administrator immediately. Additionally, students are prohibited from accessing, submitting, posting, publishing, forwarding, downloading, scanning, or displaying materials that are defamatory, abusive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit or suggestive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing and/or illegal. ❖ Each student, and their parent/guardian, acknowledges and agrees that the student has no privacy or ownership rights related to their Device or any data stored or processed on the Device, the school network, Google Drive, cloud services, or any district issued applications. The School Board makes no representation that any data placed on the Device will be saved or retained. ❖ The use of anonymous proxies to bypass content filters is strictly prohibited. ❖ Each student should always “sign‐out” of their Google account at the end of each class period. Failure to do so will give others access to your work. ❖ Sharing passwords or using other users’ passwords is not permitted. Internet Usage. Internet access is a privilege and is monitored at school to ensure that it is not abused. Any attempt to circumvent or bypass the web filter is a major offense. Internet usage on the iPad is not monitored while students are away from the school network and the school takes no responsibility for content accessed by the students. Parents should monitor student activities as they feel necessary while at home. Posting of school material (photo, video, audio) is subject to the code of conduct under the off‐ campus behavior provision. Any media involving the school, its students, faculty, staff, Administration, alumni, equipment, etc., or implications thereof, is subject to the jurisdiction of the school. The district has the ability and reserves the right to review records of use of the World Wide Web. The district will not be responsible for maintaining or payment of personal internet accounts. You must respect all copyright and license agreements regarding software or publications they access from the internet. The district will not condone violations of copyright laws and licenses, and you will be personally liable for any fines or sanctions caused by any license or copyright infringement. Employees shall be reimbursed for the cost of Internet services, while in a travel status including hookup fees and usage charges for official business, including union representational activities, and may use the services for personal Internet time consistent with applicable Departmental IT Security policies.

Use of devices by students is governed by this agreement, the school’s “ICT Policy” and the “Computer, Internet and Email Acceptable Use Policy” that students and parents agree to for use of ICT within the school.
