INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION. The Parties agree that participation in international education is important and valuable, enhancing student and faculty opportunities while supporting international education at each institution. The Parties agree that this Article shall govern the terms and conditions for employees who travel outside Canada and the U.S. to perform assigned work pursuant to the employees’ collective agreement.
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION. 9.1.2 If the above structure is altered by the College during the duration of this Agreement, the President shall reassign those affected academic employees. Any problems which may arise from the alteration will be referred to the Contract Administration Committee.
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION. The HEA and ǪǪI, in common with the HE sector, share responsibility for maintaining and enhancing Ireland’s reputation within an international context in respect of the quality of higher education provision. Both the HEA and XXX have a role to play in supporting the implementation of the International Education Strategy at national level through quality assurance measures and enhancement initiatives. This relates both to provision for international students coming to Ireland and the provision of education by Irish HEIs overseas. In this regard, both organisations have an on-going role in supporting Irish engagement in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and wider global mobility of learners and institutions. The HEA is the national agency for the European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme, and the national coordinator for other international programmes and initiatives. ǪǪI is designated as the National Coordination Point for the implementation of the European Ǫualifications Framework. ǪǪI is charged with establishing a statutory code of practice for the provision of education and training to international learners and an associated International Education Mark (IEM) to signify the compliance of providers with this code. In fostering the alignment of activities across the areas referenced above, the organisations will ensure that there is a shared understanding of the language and definitions that they will use.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION. The Board of Trustees shall annually budget $6,000 to support faculty participation in non-credit International Education opportunities. No more than ten (10) faculty per academic year may request participation in International Education. The amount awarded may vary per participant from a minimum of $600 to a maximum of $1,000, depending on the total number of participants. Reimbursement shall be limited to one such opportunity per year per person. Faculty who participate in such activities shall be responsible for all other expenses. Faculty who participate in such activities shall be responsible for providing coverage for all assigned classes by other qualified full-time faculty. International Education funding shall not be utilized to underwrite expenses for Article VI, Sections I, K, and L above, and vice versa. Requests for International Education Seminars shall be submitted on a timely basis to the Department Xxxx who shall forward the request with his/her recommendation to the Vice President of Academic Affairs for approval. The Vice President of Academic Affairs shall notify the professor and the Business Department of his/her decision. In the event the request is denied, the Vice President of Academic Affairs shall provide the professor with a statement of reasons for the denial. By May 1st of any given budget year, unexpended International Education funds shall be reserved for IDG projects.
