Internal Candidates. During the seven (7) day posting internal candidates may apply.

Internal Candidates i. A University Hospital employee who voluntarily transfers or is promoted shall serve a ninety (90) day probationary period in his/her Supervisor position. The Hospital reserves the right to extend the initial probationary period for transferred or promoted Supervisors for up to an additional ninety (90) days.Time spent on an authorized leave shall not count towards the probationary period.
Internal Candidates. Voluntary Reassignments and Transfers Qualified internal candidates shall be given an interview. Qualified shall mean the applicant meets the qualifications set out in the job posting. The District will consider all aspects of the candidate(s) professional backgrounds including specific endorsements and certification related to the open position, overall years of experience, skills related to the position, overall years in the District, and prior evaluations. After these considerations, the District will select the most qualified internal candidate. If there is only one qualified internal candidate, s/he will be reassigned or transferred to the position. Any internal candidate who is not transferred to the position will receive written notification from the Building Principal within three (3) days of the decision explaining why s/he was not selected for the transfer. When two (2) or more transferring or reassigned employees have equal qualifications, the employee with the most seniority shall be hired.
Internal Candidates. If no internal candidates apply or are not equally or better qualified to fill the position(s), nothing in the Agreement shall prohibit the Board from employing persons from outside the bargaining unit.
Internal Candidates. In selecting the candidate for appointment to the position, the Employer Representative shall consider the Report and recommendations of the Selection Committee. Where two (2) or more internal candidates are recommended and judged equal in terms of suitability, qualifications, experience, skills and ability, the Employer Representative shall offer the position to the internal candidate with the greater seniority.

Current employees who wish to apply for an open position shall express their interest in writing to the Employer, sign a limited authorization for the Employer to share the contents of their personnel record with any ad-hoc Hiring Team to the extent needed to assist the Hiring Team in evaluating candidates for the position, and provide the information requested in the posting within the time frame specified in the posting, which shall in no event be less than ten (10) work days after the internal posting. Such current employee candidates will be considered “Internal Candidates.” If Internal Candidates meet the minimum qualifications and experience set out for the position, the Internal Candidates will be considered by the Hiring Team before external applicants are sought.
