Each device from a given vendor is expected to have a unique ID, and both the vendor and the device have to be registered in the system to ensure proper identification of the source. The Temperature Data Service APIs include a set of REST APIs or SMS APIs that allows devices or device-controllers to push the raw temperatures or alert data (incursion or excursions) to the Temperature Data Service.
