Insurance Rebate. The short-term sick leave plan shall be registered with the Unemployment Insurance Commission The employee’s share of the Employer’s unemployment insurance premium reduction will be retained by the Hospital towards offsetting the cost of the benefit improvements contained in this Agreement. Any dispute which may arise concerning an employee’s entitlement to long-term disability benefits, and which is not covered by the appeal mechanism provided for under the policy of insurance, may be the subject of grievance and arbitration under the provisions of this agreement.
Insurance Rebate. 12.8.1 Eligible teachers who choose to forego their right to coverage shall receive an "opt out” benefit in the amount of twelve (12%) percent of the annual premium cost for the most expensive Consortium PPO alternative for which the eligible teacher was eligible to be paid during the month of September if the coverage is not used during the entire preceding year. Eligible teachers who forego their right to coverage but are receiving health insurance coverage from the Consortium as part of family coverage are not eligible for any "opt out" benefit.
Insurance Rebate. If any insurance premium costs decrease, or if any premium costs remain static and the district receives a distribution resulting from a credit, dividend, refund, or similar mechanism for the period beginning October 1, 1997, through September 30, 2011, the amount of the distribution which is the classified bargaining unit’s share at the time of the cost decreases or distribution shall be placed in an account to be used solely for the purpose of offsetting future premium increases until the account is exhausted.

The Hospital shall pay the full cost of any medical certificates required of an employee. Pay for sick leave is for the sole and only purpose of protecting the employee against loss of income when he is legit- imately ill.

The will provide bulletin board space in area designated by the Hospital for the purpose of posting notices regarding meeting and other matters restricted to Union activity. All such notices must be signed by an officer of the Local Union and a copy provided to the Human Resources Director or his designate prior to being posted. The Hospital will share the cost of printing of this agreement with the Union on an equal share basis. When any change in rules which affect employees covered by the Hospital will provide copies to Local President.

The parties agree to establish a Benefits Review Subcommittee which will include four representativesfrom the Union and four representativesfrom the Participating Hospital Central Agreement March Hospitals to discuss the terms of the benefit plans (other than pensions) provided under the collective agreement and the administration of benefit plans with a view to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the plans. As part of that review, the Committee will be provided with copies of the plan texts and any other relevant information requested by the Committee that pertain to these benefit plans. The Hospital agrees that part-time nurses may pay, through payroll deductions, for full premium costs of the sponsored benefit program, provided that an individual Hospital’s systems can accommodate this. The sponsored benefit plan will provide the Hospital with an administrative rebate, if any. The Hospitalwill make no payroll deductions for such benefits in months in which the employee has insufficient earnings. In this circumstance, the employee is responsible for making the full payment to the sponsored benefit plan. The Association agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Hospital against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this Article. The parties agree to give the Hospital appropriate time to establish the payroll deduction process. Once established the payroll deduction process for part-time benefits through the sponsored program will be communicated to the Association and the part-time nurses. The Hospital will facilitate access to part- time nurses by providing available benefit literature and other communications as appropriate.
