Insurance Continuation. Any member who completes the school year and is laid-off at the end of a school year shall retain insurance benefits for the summer months of July and August of that year. Employees, their spouses, or dependent children who cease to be eligible for Board-paid dental, medical, or vision insurance shall have the right to continue such coverage on a direct payment basis with the Lansing School District. Changes in dependent status (marriage, divorce, birth, adoptions, death, children no longer dependent) must be reported within thirty (30) days of the event.
