Insurance and Certain Other Laws. (a) SMFI will use its best efforts to comply with any applicable state insurance laws or regulations, to the extent specifically requested in writing by LIFE COMPANY, including, the furnishing of information not otherwise available to LIFE COMPANY which is required by state insurance law to enable LIFE COMPANY to obtain the authority needed to issue the Contracts in any applicable state.
