Instructors. 7.1 All instructors teaching Xxxxxx College courses offered as part of this CCAP Agreement must meet the minimum qualifications for instruction in a California community college as set forth in Title 5 California Code of Regulations, Sections 53410 and 58060 or as amended, and be hired by the CLPCCD.

Instructors. Every appointment of an Instructor shall be one of the following ranks: Instructor III Instructor II Instructor I The rank of appointment shall be determined as follows:
Instructors. (a) In the event of a layoff, employees shall be laid off in order of inverse seniority (as defined in Section Two) in the employee’s current teaching assignment.
Instructors. The most senior Instructor who is certified and currently teaching in the subject or trade area designated on the posting shall be transferred. If no such Instructor applies, the most senior Instructor who is certified, has taught (within the last five years) in the system in the subject or trade area designated on the posting, and who provides appropriate documentation of such shall be offered the transfer. The phrase “taught (within the last five years)” will be interpreted to mean six months of full-time teaching experience or its part-time equivalent.

Instructors. The academic year calendar for an instructor may be different from the academic year calendar established for the college. The academic year for such faculty member shall conform to the number of days in the college calendar, and days may not be scheduled on the MSCF meeting days. The alternate calendar must be agreeable to the administration, the faculty member and the local grievance representative.
Instructors. Scholarly activity shall be voluntary on the part of Instructors. The Board recognizes the value of having Instructors engaged in research. This involves the creation of new knowledge, the creative use of knowledge, the organization and synthesis of knowledge, or creative expression such as music, art, drama, in the Instructor’s discipline. It may also involve active participation on editorial boards and as referees or on committees and juries for the evaluation of scholarly work and creative arts.
Instructors. Instructors with four years or less of related and relevant full-time work experience and/or teaching experience are started at the corresponding step on the schedule. • Instructors with more than four years of related and relevant full-time experience will receive credit of one additional step for each two full years of related and relevant work and/or teaching experience not to exceed step eight. • A minimum of six (6) months teaching will grant the instructor a year’s experience if taught within a two-year period. • If an exception to the Step Eight (8) Cap is necessary in order to hire the best qualified applicant, the Superintendent will inform the Association President prior to making a recommendation to the District Board.
