Instructional Associates. Instructional Associates are employed to facilitate the academic process by engaging in such functions as supervision/set-up of laboratories, preparation of laboratory materials, manuals, lab tests and assignments, tutoring on an individual and group basis, maintaining and ordering of supplies and equipment, and assisting other faculty members in some aspect of their academic or professional activities. Instructional Associates. In order to assure the effectiveness of the instructional program, after consultation with Division Chairs, the District is responsible for assigning classified and student support staff for instructionally related assignments. It is important that these areas be provided with support services to maintain adequate levels of instruction to comply with curriculum requirements and safety standards, and thereby maintain the effectiveness of the instructional programs.   • Instructional Assignment The period of an instructional assignment during an academic year shall not exceed an average of seventy-five (75) days per semester and the period for testing, advisement, and other scheduled assignments shall not exceed an average of ten (10) days per semester. Within each semester, activities referred to above shall be scheduled during contiguous weeks with the exception of spring break, if any.

  • Instructional Framework The District and the Association have agreed to the adopted research-based instructional framework developed by Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx and approved by OSPI. The Association and District have also agreed to Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx’x frameworks for specialists for use with other certificated educators.

  • Instructional Day 6 The hours of employment defined in Sections A.1., A.2., and A.3. above shall include 7 at least the required number of instructional minutes to qualify for incentive funding 8 provided in Education Code, Section 46201. The designation of instructional time 9 shall conform to the law.   • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE FORM The Drug-Free Workplace Form is attached and shall be completed and submitted with your bid.

  • Instructor Associated with the position of Instructor is a nominal workload of 195 hours per half-credit course. This nominal workload is normally made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time. The non-classroom time is made up of preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking or grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty. In the case of a two-hour lecture per week, or the equivalent of a two-hour lecture per week, the incumbent shall also be responsible for the first hour of seminar in each course. Upon request by an Instructor, the Employer and the Instructor will review the workload for the course to ensure that assigned duties can be completed within the assigned workload of 195 nominal hours per half credit course (see Article

  • Drug-Free Workplace Contractor represents and warrants that it shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §701 et seq.) and maintain a drug-free work environment.

The Contractor will give written notice to the State within ten (10) days after receiving actual notice that the Contractor, or an employee of the Contractor in the State of Indiana, has been convicted of a criminal drug violation occurring in the workplace. False certification or violation of this certification may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension of contract payments, termination of this Contract and/or debarment of contracting opportunities with the State for up to three (3) years.
