Common use of Injury Pay Clause in Contracts

Injury Pay. 1. When employees covered by this Agreement sustain injuries within the scope of their employment for which they are entitled to receive worker's compensation temporary disability benefits, as provided by Chapter 102 of the Wisconsin Statutes (Worker's Compensation Act), they may receive 80% of their base salary as "injury pay" instead of such worker's compensation benefits for the period of time they may be temporarily totally or temporarily partially disabled because of such injuries. Such injury pay shall not be granted for more than 365 calendar days for any one compensable injury or recurrence thereof.
