Injury During Working Hours. An Employee who is injured during working hours and is required to leave for treatment or is sent home for such injury and is unable to return to work, shall receive payment for the remainder of the shift at his/her regular rate of pay without deduction from his/her Sick Leave and Weekly Indemnity Bank Days (WIBD).

Injury During Working Hours. (a) An employee who is injured at work or becomes ill due to work during working hours and who is required to leave for treatment or who is sent home as a result of the injury shall receive pay for the remainder of the shift at her regular rate of pay or at a higher rate if she is working in a higher rated job, without deduction from sick leave.

A Regular Full-Time Employee absent more than five (5) workdays (four (4) workdays for Employees working four-day (4) workweek schedule) will have the option while on Workers' Compensation leave of absence of taking his or her accumulated sick leave on a day-to-day basis at the rate of one-third (1/3) sick time per day. Regular Part-Time Employees will receive pro rata benefits under this Section.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

  • Holidays During Vacation If a paid holiday falls or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be granted an additional day's vacation with pay for each holiday in addition to his/her regular vacation time.

  • Maximum Hours No employee shall be required to work more than twelve (12) hours per day, or for more than forty-eight (48) hours per week, unless mutually agreed otherwise by the Employer and the employee.
