INITIATION FEES AND DUES. ‌ The Engager agrees that full initiation fees, assessments, fines and dues payable to Equity shall be deducted from the compensation of the Artist and paid by the Engager to Equity upon written request of Equity provided, however, that the Engager shall first receive from each Artist written consent to such deduction which shall not be irrevocable for more than one year beyond the termination of this Agreement, whichever first occurs. No other deductions whatever shall be made from the compensation of the Artist except such taxes or withholdings as are provided by law and premiums for medical, dental and savings plans as are agreed to by Xxxxxxx and Artist. Any fines payable to the Engager as specified in this Agreement shall be deducted from the compensation of the Artist. If the Engager shall be required by Equity to make payment of the Artist's dues and/or initiation fees, the Engager shall make payment as required by Equity out of the Artist's contractual fee immediately on invoice from Equity. If the Artist has any complaints, they shall be settled between the Artist and Equity. The Engager, upon written request from Equity may deduct the established Equity dues from the Artist's compensation equally over the term of the Artist's Engagement Contract to a total amount determined by Equity.

INITIATION FEES AND DUES. The Company agrees to deduct from each employee's first pay of the succeeding calendar month next following the receipt of a voluntary union dues checkoff authorization card executed by that employee, the monthly union dues for the preceding month and shall also deduct any assessments against the employee which are general and uniform among all employees who at the time are members of the union, and also if owed an initiation fee in the amount designated by the union.

Payment shall not be overdue nor shall the Engager be in default for non-payment unless CAEA has not received the invoiced fees by the due date set forth on CAEA’s invoice to the Engager. If the Artist has any complaints they shall be settled between the Artist and CAEA. For the purpose of this Rule, the provisions of Rule 13.02(E) and (F) shall over ride any requirement for specific authorization from the Artist with respect to working dues deductions.

Any fines payable to the Ballet as specified in this Agreement shall be deducted from the compensation of the Artist. No other deductions whatever shall be made from the compensation of the Artist except such taxes or withholdings as required by law and premiums for medical, dental and savings plans as are agreed to in this Agreement. INITIATION FEES AND DUES. (a) The EMPLOYER agrees that it will deduct (“Check-Off”) from the gross compensation earned and to be earned by each ARTIST covered under this Agreement covered under this Agreement, for whom there shall be filed with the EMPLOYER a written assignment in accordance with Section 302 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 1947, the applicableWorking Dues” as certified by AGMA to be then in effect. For purpose of calculating such “Working Dues” meal money, per diem (to the extent provided for in this Agreement), travel expenses, and any compensation earned under the jurisdiction of any union other than AGMA shall not be considered a part of the “gross compensation” and shall not be subject to such deduction. The EMPLOYER shall commence making such deductions with the first wage payment to be made to such ARTIST following the date of the filing of his or her said written assignment and such deductions shall continue thereafter with respect to each and every subsequent wage payment to be made to each such ARTIST during the effective term of said written assignment. No later than the deadline for payment to the ARTIST of related wages as provided in Paragraph 12 below, the EMPLOYER shall remit to AGMA, by check drawn to the order of the American Guild of Musical Artists, the total amount of all deductions made during the said period for all such ARTISTS. The EMPLOYER further agrees to deduct from ARTISTS’ gross compensation initiation fees, assessments, fines, delinquent payments, or other similar deductions at the direction of and on behalf of AGMA.
