Initial Synchronization. Upon completion of the actions and reviews required under Sections 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3, Generator may request approval for initial synchronization of the Facility with the Georgia Power Electric System. Such request for approval shall be made no less than seven (7) Calendar Days in advance of the date which the Generator proposes for the Initial Synchronization Date. Initial synchronization shall not occur without the prior documented approval of Georgia Power, and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Representatives of Georgia Power shall have the right to be present during the initial synchronization and facility testing. The activities under this Section 8, including without limitation, facility inspection, evaluation of actual equipment data, personnel training, use of Southern Company Generator Information Network, or the granting of approval to Generator for operation of the Facility in parallel with the Georgia Power Electric System shall not serve to relieve Generator of liability for injury, death or damage attributable to the negligence of Generator, and Georgia Power shall not be responsible as a result of such activities.

Initial Synchronization. Resource Provider shall not energize, back-feed, or synchronize the Facility or Interconnection Facilities without PREPA’s prior approval, which approval PREPA shall not unreasonably withhold or delay. Subject to Resource Provider’s compliance with the Interconnection Agreement and this Agreement, PREPA agrees to allow the Facility to interconnect to the Grid System at the Interconnection Point in accordance with the terms of this Agreement from the Initial Synchronization Date. PREPA shall have the right to have a representative present at the Facility to witness the synchronization process from and after the Initial Synchronization Date.

Initial Synchronization. After the GPC-In-Service Date and completion of all Upgrade Project(s) required for COD, successful interconnection protection demonstration and consent by the TCC or PCC, as applicable, and successful completion of all Initial Synchronization Requirements as outlined in Attachment 1 of Exhibit B, and so long as Generator is in compliance with all material QFIA and PPA terms and conditions, the Parties will coordinate regarding Initial Synchronization. Generator must provide written notice to GPC, at least 10 Business Days in advance, of the requested Initial Synch Date, which event GPC may attend. Generator must complete the Initial Synch prerequisites described in this Section 1.5.J and achieve Initial Synch in sufficient time so as to allow a reasonable period for Facility and Interconnection Facilities operation, verification, and testing after Initial Synch and before any PPA-required COD. Generator is prohibited from exporting test electric energy onto the Electric System without advance coordination with GPC. GPC has no obligation to expedite its activity under this Initial Synchronization clause and may schedule activity according to resource availability and as it deems practicable. During Initial Synch, GPC may temporarily disconnect the Facility per Section 4.1.A(i) (Temporary Disconnection by GPC) or may require QF to cease operations per Section 4.1.B (Curtailment). The Parties also will finalize and coordinate implementation of the Interconnection Operating Procedures.

Initial Synchronization. Seller shall not operate the Unit in parallel with the Transmission System without the prior written acknowledgment of Buyer that the Unit meets Buyer's requirements for parallel operation. Such acknowledgment pursuant to this Agreement shall not be unreasonably withheld or delayed. Seller shall notify Buyer of the initial synchronization of the Unit to the Transmission System at least forty-five (45) days prior to the proposed date of such initial synchronization or such shorter period as the Parties may agree.
Initial Synchronization. Contractor shall provide PSGC with at least thirty (30) Days prior written Notice of the projected time or times it will attempt Initial Synchronization and forty-eight (48) hours prior verbal notice of the actual time or times it will attempt Initial Synchronization.
Initial Synchronization. 8.1 PRE-PARALLEL OPERATION. Prior to the parallel operation of the Facility with the Georgia Power Electric System, all equipment modifications and/or additions shall be complete. As soon as practicable after notice is given to Georgia Power by Tenaska, an inspection shall be performed by Georgia Power to insure the proper installation and operation of the interconnection protective devices. The inspection shall include but not be limited to verification: (i) that the installation is in accordance with the interconnection study; and (ii) of proper voltage and phase rotation. Upon successful completion of the pre-parallel inspection, Tenaska shall be granted approval for operation of the Facility in parallel with the Georgia Power Electric System. Neither the inspection nor the granting of approval to Tenaska shall serve to relieve Tenaska of liability for injury, death or damage attributable to the negligence of Tenaska, and Georgia Power shall not be responsible in that regard.
