Initial Placement on the Salary Schedule. A probationary unit member at the time of initial employment with the District shall be placed on the first step of the appropriate pay range of the designated salary schedule.

Unit members with regular credentials shall, upon employment, be given up to a maximum placement of the sixth step of the salary schedule provided such experience was acquired in public schools or accredited private schools of the United States or its possessions, or job experience directly related to employment. Official transcripts must be received by the District no later than November 1 of the first year of District employment, or, if the effective date is after November 1, not later than 30 days from the first day of employment.
