Information/Training. 1. All current and new employees will receive written information about the testing requirements and how and where they may receive assistance for alcohol and drug misuse. The Town will conduct an education/information session for all current employees affected by this policy prior to implementation of this policy. All employees will receive a copy of this policy and must sign a Confirmation of Receipt (Attachment A).

All supervisory and management personnel in the Police Department must attend at least two (2) hours of training on alcohol and drug use symptoms and indicators used in making determinations for reasonable suspicion testing. Supervisors and managers will be instructed on the detection of abuse problems and the enforcement of the testing policy. Periodic, ongoing training will also occur after implementation of the policy.
Information/Training. Information regarding AAOD policy and procedures will be included with the application for employment. Acceptance of these shall be included in the declaration to be signed by the applicant. Further explanation of the AAOD policy and procedures will be provided through an induction to the Project.
