Information Security Officer. If Agents will access or handle Metro Government Information, Contractor shall designate an Information Security Officer, who will be responsible for Contractor information security and compliance with the terms of this Agreement as it relates to Metro Government Information.

Data managers will assist the ISO in enforcing district policies and procedures regarding data management.
Information Security Officer. All cities agree to appoint a staff person, or persons, responsible for coordinating the exchange of electronically transferred information, hereafter referenced as the “Information Security Officer(s)”. Each city is solely and separately responsible for any costs relating to its information security officer(s). All officers shall be named in an addendum to this agreement. Information Security Officer. The Information Security Officer is the central point of contact for all information security matters. Acting as the internal technical consultant, it is the Information Security Officer’s responsibility to create effective information security policies, procedures, guidelines and standards that take into consideration the needs of users, Local Area Network Administrators, Data Owners, and third parties. The Information Security Officer is responsible for overseeing all access control administration activities, monitoring the security of the information systems, and providing information security training and awareness programs. The Information Security Officer is additionally responsible for periodically providing management with information about the current state of coordinating a security incident response team to promptly respond to virus infections, hacker break-ins, system outages, and other information security problems. The Information Security Officer must provide the direction and technical expertise to ensure that information is properly protected.
