Common use of Informal Conference Clause in Contracts

Informal Conference. Prior to the filing of a grievance at Level One the employee shall discuss the matter with his/her immediate supervisor in an effort to resolve the issue(s) informally. The grievant (1) may request that the Association’s representative and some other person be in attendance, or (2) may request that the Association’s representative act in the employee’s behalf. If the informal conference cannot be held before the deadline for filing at Level One, the deadline shall be extended to a mutually agreed upon date.
