Industrial Relations Training. (a) A Union Delegate recognised under this clause will be entitled to:
Industrial Relations Training. (a) In order to encourage co-operative workplace relations and facilitate the operation of this Agreement, Employees who have been selected by their union(s) to attend training courses on industrial relations and/or health and safety shall be entitled to a maximum of five days paid leave per calendar year for that purpose, providing that agency operating requirements permit the granting of such leave. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Industrial Relations Training. 7.5.1 Should a need for Industrial Relations Training be identified between the company and the employees elected representatives, the company will seek to provide this training. Any such training would be up to four days duration and obtained from commercial training providers as part of the companies standard program of externally sourced training.
Industrial Relations Training. 4.1. Representatives nominated by their Trade Unions to attend either a TUC approved training course or a similar internal Trade Union course, will be granted paid time off for this purpose (see para. 4 of Guidance). Management should normally be given at least 3 weeks notice of such nominations and a copy of the training syllabus if requested.
Industrial Relations Training. 3.1. Local representatives will be granted (paid) time off to attend an initial basic training course referred to in the ACAS Code of Practice such as the TUC basic course for staff representatives or a similar in-house course offered by the recognised trade union. In the case of the latter, this will be conditional on the Council being entitled to examine the syllabus and the course being no longer than the TUC equivalent.
Industrial Relations Training. 9.1 Reasonable requests for time off with pay will be granted to union officials to attend approved training courses convened by UNISON or the TUC. Such requests should be made to the Human Resources Manager. Unpaid release may be granted to attend courses solely focussed on union business.
Industrial Relations Training. Local/staffs’ side representatives within the scope of the collective bargaining machinery established by Procedure Agreement 1 (General Collective Bargaining) are to be permitted reasonable time off during working hours to undergo training in aspects of industrial relations relevant to the carrying out of their trade union duties. Representatives nominated to attend an approved trade union course will be granted leave of absence with pay in accordance with the notes for guidance (Appendix A, Section 15.1, Paragraph 8). Management should normally be given at least twenty eight days’ notice of nominations for training courses and, if requested, a copy of the training syllabus.
