Individualized Education Program. (IEP) Team The special education supervisor will try to schedule IEP meetings so that teachers whose duties would be impacted by the IEP will have the opportunity to participate. The teacher can also request a meeting with the special education supervisor to review the IEP and/or the placement of the student. If a teacher believes that a student’s placement is inappropriate, the IEP team will be reconvened to discuss the placement and to reach a resolution.

Individualized Education Program. A written statement for a student with a disability that is developed, reviewed, and revised in accordance with the regulations promulgated under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). IEP Team - Individualized Education Program Team – A group of individuals that is responsible for developing, reviewing, or revising an IEP for a student with a disability. IEPed Student - A student who is assigned to a regular classroom for all or part of the school day, as part of an IEP, but for purposes of limiting classroom ratios a speech and language impaired student or other similar IEPed students, whose IEP requires no special instruction by the classroom teacher, shall not be included in the ratio calculation. Individualized Education Program. In compliance with federal and state law, an Individualized Education Program (IEP) multidisciplinary team will be established as set forth by IDEA and comprised of the student’s general education teacher, a special education teacher, a district representative, parents, the student when appropriate, and, if deemed of value, other knowledgeable persons. The team is responsible for developing the IEP, determining placement, and reviewing and revising the student’s IEP and placement at least annually. A certificated teacher, or an educational assistant under his/her guidance, will provide services in an inclusion or a pullout model depending on the degree of intervention necessary to meet the student’s needs. The appropriate personnel will consult with the general education staff to utilize effective classroom interventions, adaptations, and modifications.
Individualized Education Program. Effective July 1, 2022, in the event an Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting extends forty-five minutes past a unit member’s workday, the Unit Member may timecard any additional time beyond the forty-five minutes at the Hourly Instructional Rate. The District and unit member shall make best efforts to schedule IEP meetings within the unit member’s regular duty day.
