Common use of Indigenous Peoples Clause in Contracts

Indigenous Peoples. 8. The Borrower shall ensure that the Project does not have any indigenous peoples impact, all within the meaning of the Safeguard Policy Statement. In the event that the Project does have any such impact, the Borrower shall take all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and regulations of the Borrower and with the Safeguard Policy Statement.

In the event that the Project does have any such impact, the Borrower and the EA shall take all steps required to ensure that the preparation, design, construction, implementation and operation of the Project complies comply with the (a) all applicable laws and regulations of the Borrower and with the Safeguard Policy StatementState relating to indigenous peoples; and (b) the Indigenous Peoples Safeguards.
