Related to INDEPENDENT STATUS OF DEVELOPER

  • Independent Status of Contractor In the performance of this Contract, the parties shall be acting in their individual, corporate or governmental capacities and not as agents, employees, partners, joint ventures, or associates of one another. The parties intend that an independent contractor relationship shall be created by this Contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for all federal and/or state tax, industrial insurance, wages, benefits, or other compensation by or on behalf of the Contractor and its employees. The Contractor shall not make any claim of right, privilege or benefit which would accrue to an employee under chapter 41.06 RCW or Title 51 RCW.

  • Independent Status The employees, volunteers, or agents of each party who are engaged in the performance of this Agreement will continue to be employees, volunteers, or agents of that party and will not for any purpose be employees, volunteers, or agents of the other party.

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information. Accordingly, nothing in this Agreement will be construed as a representation or inference that Receiving Party will not develop or have developed products or services, that, without violation of this Agreement, might compete with the products or systems contemplated by the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.

  • STATUS OF THIS AGREEMENT 4.1 This contract governs your engagement from time to time by the University as a casual worker. This is not an employment contract and does not confer any employment rights on you (other than those to which workers are entitled). In particular, it does not create any obligation on the University to provide work to you. By entering into this contract you confirm your understanding that the University makes no promise or guarantee of a minimum level of work to you and you will work on a flexible "as required" basis. It is the intention of both you and the University that there be no mutuality of obligation between the parties at any time when you are not performing an Assignment.

  • Independent Study Independent study is a program of independent study, research, and/or experience directly related to the duties described in the employee’s job description or related classification as determined by the Retraining and Study Committee, which promises professional values equivalent to that derived from formal study at a recognized educational institution.

  • Independent Contractor Status of Grantee The Grantee, if not a state agency, agrees that its officers, agents and employees, in performance of this Agreement, shall act in the capacity of independent contractors and not as officers, agents or employees of the state. The Grantee is not entitled to accrue any benefits of state employment, including retirement benefits and any other rights or privileges connected with employment by the State of Florida.

  • STATUS OF CONTRACTOR 21 CONTRACTOR is, and shall at all times be deemed to be, an independent contractor and shall be 22 wholly responsible for the manner in which it performs the services required of it by the terms of this 23 Agreement. CONTRACTOR is entirely responsible for compensating staff, subcontractors, and 24 consultants employed by CONTRACTOR. This Agreement shall not be construed as creating the 25 relationship of employer and employee, or principal and agent, between COUNTY and CONTRACTOR 26 or any of CONTRACTOR’s employees, agents, consultants, or subcontractors. CONTRACTOR 27 assumes exclusively the responsibility for the acts of its employees, agents, consultants, or 28 subcontractors as they relate to the services to be provided during the course and scope of their 29 employment.   • Engagement of Independent Review Organization Within 60 days after the Effective Date, Xx. Xxxxxx shall engage an individual or entity, such as an accounting, auditing, or consulting firm (hereinafter “Independent Review Organization” or “IRO”), to perform the reviews listed in this Section III.C. The applicable requirements relating to the IRO are outlined in Appendix A to this IA, which is incorporated by reference.‌

  • Permanent Status ‌ An employee will attain permanent status in a job classification upon their successful completion of a probationary, trial service or transition review period.

  • Student Status Licensee must maintain status as a student registered at Cal Poly with a minimum of eight (8) Cal Poly quarter units or if a graduate student, four (4) units. Exception requests must be submitted in writing to University Housing for approval (or contact the Disability Resource Center if disability related) if Licensee falls below these minimums. Dropping below the minimum is not considered a standard for cancellation and will not release the Licensee from paying any housing-related fees. The University may, at its sole option and discretion, revoke this License in accordance with the provisions herein if the Licensee fails to enroll in the minimum units, or drops below the minimum unit requirement after the beginning of the academic fee period.
