Independent Professional Activity. The Board and the Union believe that teachers engage in a number of professional activities that are important for both professional growth and student academic improvement. To that end in addition to the regular work year, each bargaining unit member will be provided two additional days outside the regular work days for self-directed professional activities. The time when the professional activity is completed shall be left to the discretion of the bargaining unit member. Payment for the two days shall be on a per diem basis and one day will be paid with the first payroll in December and the other day will be paid with the second payroll in March.

For the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, and 2024-2025 school years, in addition to the regular work year, each member of the bargaining unit member will be provided an additional day outside the regular work days for self-directed professional activities. Related to Independent Professional Activity

  • Outside Professional Activities The President/Superintendent may undertake outside professional activities, including consulting, speaking, and writing provided these activities do not interfere with the President/Superintendent’s duties.

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent/Principal shall be encouraged to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, and national levels. Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. The Superintendent/Principal’s attendance at professional meetings at the national level must have prior approval of the Board.

  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS 22.01 (a) A Long-Term Occasional Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a Professional Activity Day shall be required to participate in the scheduled professional activities and shall be paid for such day.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators.   • ENGAGEMENT OF CONSULTANT The Company hereby engages Consultant to ------------------------- assist the Company in programming services.

  • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR A. Teachers are expected to comply with reasonable rules, regulations, and directions adopted by the Board, or its representatives, which are not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, provided that a teacher may reasonably refuse to carry out an order which threatens physical safety or well being or is professionally demeaning.

  • Other Professional Services We will provide you the various implementation-related services itemized in the Investment Summary and described in the Statement of Work.

  • Independent Service Provider The services to be performed by Service Provider are those of an independent service provider and not of an employee of the City of Fort Xxxxxxx. The City shall not be responsible for withholding any portion of Service Provider's compensation hereunder for the payment of FICA, Workmen's Compensation or other taxes or benefits or for any other purpose.
