Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position on a regular basis, the assignment shall be offered to the employee in the appropriate class with the greatest bargaining unit seniority. If the senior employee declines the assignment, it shall be offered to the remaining employees in the class in descending order of bargaining unit seniority until the assignment is made.
Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position on a regular basis, all unit members currently assigned to that class shall have the opportunity to apply for the position. The District shall notify sites and departments when additional hour assignments become available.
Increase in Hours. When a position held by a regular part-time employee is increased in hours it shall not become a new position and when a part-time position is increased in hours the incumbent shall accept the position of the total hours, or the job shall be posted. Also, where there is an increase in hours or personnel which created an upgrading to a higher classification, the position shall be posted.
Increase in Hours. The following provisions apply when a nurse works additional hours that are not the result of covering for leaves of absence, vacations, or sick leave, and there is not a foreseeable end to the need for additional hours.
Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a position on a regular basis, the assignment shall be offered to the employee in the same class with the greatest Seniority within the class, providing they meet the qualifications and requirements of the job description and job assignment.* If the senior employee declines the assignment, it shall be offered to the remaining employees in the class in descending order of bargaining unit Seniority until the assignment is made. * Exceptions to this provision may be made where additional hours are needed on a ‘site-specific’ basis in order to avoid unnecessary travel or to add to a part-time position. Once additional hours are accepted in any assignment, the assignment will be changed to reflect the longer hours and shall be considered as hours of one assignment.
Increase in Hours. If a building/worksite receives additional hours after hours have been assigned for the year, the District may fill those hours in one of two ways:
Increase in Hours. When additional hours are assigned to a part-time position 35 on a regular basis and it has been determined to exist at a specific school site, 36 additional hours may be offered to the employee presently in that position. 37
Increase in Hours a. Any increase in hours to an existing position approved by the Secretary Treasurer, up to the limits set out in the Collective Agreement, shall be made by the Board and written notice given to the incumbent.
Increase in Hours. A permanent position that has its schedule permanently increased by five (5) or more hours per week, shall be deemed a vacancy and shall be posted as per the provisions of this article.
Increase in Hours. 3.8.1 A part-time position within the bargaining unit may be increased by up to one hour if such additional hours are part of that position’s assigned duties.
