Family Members Family Members shall mean, as applied to any individual, any parent, spouse, child, spouse of a child, brother or sister of the individual, and each trust created for the benefit of one or more of such Persons and each custodian of a property of one or more such Persons.

Illness in Immediate Family 1. Up to three (3) days of sick leave may be used by a teacher for each serious illness of a member of that teacher's immediate family or birth of a child of a teacher. Serious illness shall mean an illness where death is probable and may occur, surgery is performed requiring hospitalization, or illness requiring treatment by a physician.
