Incident. As an event, confirmed or otherwise, that has been discovered or reported, that actually or imminently jeopardizes the confidentiality, integrity or availability of computers, communication systems, networks, physical or virtual infrastructure, or information resident thereon. Note: not all Information Security Incidents result in a Data Breach.
