Immediate Suspension. 1. In the event the supervisor deems the employee's misconduct to be of a serious nature, the employee may be suspended immediately, with or without pay, from employment with the District until such charges are investigated, and a decision is made to continue or to discontinue the employment of that employee. If the employee is cleared of the charges, said employee shall be reinstated without loss of pay or accrued benefits.

Immediate Suspension. A worker may be immediately suspended with pay under circumstances in which retention of the worker in the job would potentially cause harm to students, workers, public property or any other persons.

Code Section 87010 or Penal Code 261.5) with a minor student of the District; assault or battery upon another person while on the job, or while on school premises or adjacent thereto, or while on a field trip, outing or other District-sponsored activity; committing any act which would constitute a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, or would threaten the safety or welfare of the employee, student, the public, or other District employees; the District may suspend the unit member with or without pay for a period not to exceed twenty (20) working days. The suspension may be terminated by the District giving twenty-four (24) hours written notice to the unit member.
