Immediate Family Defined. For the purpose of this Section, "Immediate Family" is defined as the employee's spouse, domestic partner, child, stepchild, grandchild, parent/step-parent, brother, sister, grandparent or spouse's, child, stepchild, grandchild, parent/step-parent, brother, sister or grandparent.

Immediate family shall be defined as the spouse or domestic partner of the employee, and the following relatives of either the employee, spouse, or domestic partner: child, step-child, child’s spouse, grandchild, parent, step-parent, grandparent, sibling, and sibling’s spouse. In special circumstances, the Chief and/or Human Resources may include other relatives in the definition for purposes of bereavement leave.
Immediate Family Defined. Immediate family will be defined as father, mother, husband, wife, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, step children, step-parent, and any person domiciled and residing in the teacher’s home as a member of the teacher’s home as a member of the teacher’s family, and any person with whom the teacher lived for a substantial period as a child as if such person were the teacher’s parents.
Immediate Family Defined. When the use of sick leave is due to illness or injury in the immediate family, “immediate family” shall be defined as the employee’s spouse, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, parents, grandparents or xxxxxx children.

In the case of any other relative of the employee, the Sheriff or Sheriff’s designee may authorize such sick leave and shall so notify the County Manager in writing.

The employee's immediate family shall consist of: spouse, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, household dependents, grandchildren or any other individual, though not related by blood, who has been a permanent member of the employee's household and the same relatives of the employee's spouse in like degree.

Immediate Family Defined. “Immediate family” shall mean spouse, children, grandchildren, grandparents, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, brother and sister of the spouse, or other person living with and making his/her home in the home of the teacher and for whom the teacher has loco parentis responsibility. Xxxxxx care, as a business enterprise, shall be excluded from this definition.
Immediate Family Defined. For the purpose of Bereavement Leave, "immediate family” shall be defined as: parent or parent/guardian, spouse, or child/custodial child.
Immediate Family Defined. As used herein, "immediate family" shall designate the teacher's spouse, children, parents, brothers, and sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, and spouse's parents.
