Common use of Illness Clause in Contracts

Illness. injury or death in the employee’s immediate family (“immediate family” is interpreted to include father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, or any member of the family or household who has clearly stood in the same relationship with the employee as any of these).
