Illness on annual leave. Where a Flight Attendant becomes ill during annual leave, for a period of not less than seven consecutive days, that period will be counted as sick leave to the extent that the Flight Attendant has sick leave credits. The Flight Attendant must advise the Company as soon as practicable after the commencement of the illness and produce proof of illness within seven days of return to duty. Such proof will be in the form of a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner. Consideration will be given by the Company to granting the equivalent substitute annual leave in the manner requested by the Flight Attendant.
