Common use of Illness in the Immediate Family Clause in Contracts

Illness in the Immediate Family. “Immediate family” shall include the employee’s mother and father, father-in-law and mother-in-law, spouse, children, step-children, legal guardian or xxxx, grandchildren, grandparents, brother and sister. An employee may be granted a maximum of ten (10) work days per school year for illness in the immediate family. Additional unpaid days may be available under the Family and Medical Leave Act (see Appendix B).
