Illness in the Immediate Family. An employee may use up to one-half of his or her annual sick leave allocation in any calendar year in the event of illness or a spouse, child, parent, or domestic partner. At the City's request the employee will provide satisfactory evidence of the facts justifying such absence.
Illness in the Immediate Family. 10.1 A unit member may be granted up to four days’ absence per fiscal year with full pay because of serious illness in the immediate family of the unit member requiring the actual presence of that unit member.
Illness in the Immediate Family. In compliance with State law, an employee may, during a calendar year, use sick leave up to the amount earned in six (6) months to attend to the illness of a child, parent, spouse or domestic partner. At the City’s request, the employee will provide satisfactory evidence of the fact justifying such absence.
Illness in the Immediate Family. Employees with two (2) or more years of service who leave for reasons of illness in the immediate family shall be entitled to return within one (1) year on the basis of seniority and shall regain the seniority and other rights they had before leaving including such accumulated sick leave as was not used prior to the leave of absence. For the purpose of this paragraph the term "immediate family" includes a parent, child, spouse, or parent of a spouse, brother or sister if living in the employee's household. The Board shall make every effort to assign employees returning from an authorized leave of absence to their former job assignment no later than the start of the following school term.
Illness in the Immediate Family. “Immediate family” shall include the employee’s mother and father, father-in-law and mother-in-law, spouse, children, step-children, legal guardian or xxxx, grandchildren, grandparents, brother and sister. An employee may be granted a maximum of ten (10) work days per school year for illness in the immediate family. Additional unpaid days may be available under the Family and Medical Leave Act (see Appendix B).
Illness in the Immediate Family. When it becomes necessary for an employee to attend to a member of the immediate family who is ill, such an employee shall be allowed two days absence without deduction of pay. Additional time may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. This additional time will be taken from the employee’s accumulated sick leave.
Illness in the Immediate Family. The employee may take a maximum of ten (10) days per illness unless leave is taken under the provisions of FMLA. "Immediate family" shall be defined as in paragraph C. below.
Illness in the Immediate Family. The immediate family shall be interpreted as household members, parents, parents-in-law. It is agreed that bargaining unit members may not use more than ten (10) of their accumulated sick leave days for this purpose in each work year.
Illness in the Immediate Family. The teacher may take a maximum of three (3) days per illness. For emergency illness additional sick days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Immediate family shall be defined as in #1 above.
Illness in the Immediate Family. Leave shall be granted because of serious illness in the immediate family for a period not to exceed two (2) years. A written application for such leave must be accompanied by a statement from the attending physician stating the nature of the illness.
