ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 9.1 Full-time nurses and part-time nurses (on a pro rata basis) will accumulate illness allowance on the basis of one and one-half (1 1/2) working days with salary for each month of service or its equivalent, to a maximum of one hundred and eighty (180) days for full-time nurses, pro-rated for part-time nurses. Those employees who have a current accumulated illness allowance greater than 180 days will retain their allowance for all purposes other than LTD.
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 13.01 Illness allowance is payable when a full-time employee is absent from work due to illness or injury which is not compensatory under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 17.01 If a nurse leaves work during the tour of duty due to illness, she shall be paid for the entire tour.
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 14.01 Illness allowance means the period of time a full-time nurse is absent from work with full pay by virtue of being sick or disabled, exposed to a contagious disease or under examination or treatment by a physician, chiropractor, or dentist which prevents her from carrying out her normal duties or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under the Workers' Compensation Act.
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. (1) Effective July 1, 2008, all school year unit members who are assigned for at least twenty (20) hours per week shall be allowed to accumulate a maximum of 165 illness days as follows:
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 11.01 Nurses may take up to six (6) days of uncertified absence due to illness within a calendar year with one hundred percent (100%) pay. Nurses must use three (3) days of their uncertified absence, or the remainder of the bank if less than three (3) days, prior to applying for Short Term Disability. A nurse may use any additional credits available including, but not limited to, comp time, flex time, vacation time and personal days to keep their salary whole during the period of assessment for Short Term Disability. Upon approval of the Nurse’s Short Term Disability claim, any additional credits used will be reinstated to the Nurse’s appropriate bank.
ILLNESS ALLOWANCE. 11.01 Effective March 1, 1988, in cases of absence due to non-occupational illness or accident, Nurses shall receive Short Term Disability benefits as follows (pro-rated for part-time Nurses) provided all such absences are certified and reviewed for accommodation, when required, according to the requirements of Article 11.06.
