Hybrid Schedule. The hybrid schedule is defined as one that results in an employee being scheduled to work a combination of extended tours (11.25 hour tours) and normal tours (7.5 hour tours) within the scheduling period. The hybrid schedule must comply with scheduling regulations outlined below: Part-Time The Hospital will continue to endeavour to schedule employees off every other weekend however depending on the unit schedule, nurses may be scheduled two (2) out of four (4) weekends. However, an employee will receive, as per Article 14.03, premium payment for all hours worked on a third (3rd) consecutive and subsequent weekend, save and except where:  Such weekend has been worked by the employee to satisfy specific days off requested by such employee; or  Such weekend has been worked as a result of an approved exchange of tours with another employee; or  Such nurse has requested weekend work. It is understood that a weekend off, Saturday and Sunday, will consist of at least sixty (60) consecutive hours off work, unless otherwise mutually agreed. Employees will not be scheduled to work more than:  Three (3) extended tours (11.25 hour), or  Seven (7) normal (7.5 hour) tours or tours of less than 7.5 hours, or  A combination of four (4) tours in a row with no more than two (2) 11.25 hours in this combination, unless mutually agreed. Should an employee work more than what is outlined above, she/he shall receive premium pay as per Article 14.03 for all hours worked on subsequent shifts except where:  The extra shift is worked by the employee to satisfy specific requested days off; and  The extra shift is worked as a result of an exchange of tours with another employee.

The Payback Coordinator should take into consideration the shift to which personnel are assigned and should attempt to accommodate their schedules when assigning payback days to be worked, however, shift accommodation is not guaranteed. Personnel who have completed a payback shift shall document their payback using the Schedular Software. The payback hours will be noted using the Schedular Software. It is the responsibility of the Payback Coordinator to ensure that all payback shifts are scheduled and the affected employees are advised of their payback requirements. An employee may not use Comp Time or Vacation Time in lieu of working their payback shift.   • Extended Tours/Hybrid Schedules The Employer and the Union may agree to implement extended tours or hybrid schedule (mix of extended and normal tours). For clarity, a hybrid schedule may include extended tours on weekends and normal tours during the week. The following will apply:

  • Unit Weekend Schedule A unit weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Hospital’s need for weekend staff, and individual nurses’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A unit weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time nurse works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at her or his regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25 hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Hospital and the Association. A nurse working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a unit weekend schedule, the introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties and recorded in the Appendix of Local Provisions. This unit schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined within the Appendix of Local Provisions. The opportunity for an individual nurse to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties:

  • Alternative Schedules A. A school may request regularly scheduled modified days for staff development and planning. The determination of whether or not a school will schedule modified days, continue or discontinue same, and the purpose of the programs shall be by mutual agreement of the faculty and principal and subject to the approval of the Superintendent. The total teaching time during a week within which a modified day falls shall be no less than that provided through a regular schedule.

  • Shift Schedules 1501 Shift schedules for a minimum of a four (4) week period shall be posted at least two (2) weeks in advance of the beginning of the scheduled period. It is understood that any change in shifts or days off initiated by the nurses and approved by the Employer shall not result in overtime costs to the Employer. 1503 Night shift shall be considered as the first shift of each calendar day. 1504 Master rotations for each nursing unit shall be planned by the Employer in meaningful consultation with the nurse(s) concerned. The process for meaningful consultation shall include:  Employer proposes a master rotation including the Employer established criteria and provides to Nurses concerned  Nurses are provided reasonable time to submit feedback and/or an alternate master rotation for consideration.  The amended or new master rotation is provided to Nurses for review. Nurses are provided with a reasonable time to submit feedback.  At each step of the consultation process the Union will be provided with the new or revised master rotation to ensure contract compliance.  Employer has the sole discretion to select the new master rotation and provides rationale for the selection. Master Rotations shall, unless otherwise mutually agreed between the nurse(s) concerned and the Employer, observe the conditions listed hereinafter:
