HSA Account. As soon as administratively feasible following Association ratification and City Council approval of this MOU, the City will pay the 2021/2022 deductible toward a XXXX HSA (Health Savings Account) for employee and dependents. Each July thereafter the City shall deposit into each employees’ HSA the full amount of the annual deductible. Employees may make tax exempt contributions to an HSA in accordance with IRS allowable amounts and provisions.

To the extent that the cost of the monthly premium exceeds the amount of the District’s contribution, Employees must pay the remaining amount of the monthly premium through payroll deduction.

HSA Account. The township will deposit funds into the employee’s HSA account in an amount that will cover the deductible in full, up to the IRS current year limit, according to their selected plan. The total deposited amount into an HSA account cannot exceed the IRS limits for that current year. In the event that the township chooses a plan that the deductible exceeds the IRS limit, the remainder of the deductible shall be paid for by the employee. At no time may the township choose insurance that the plan deductible exceeds $4000 for a single plan, and $8000 for a family plan. The amounts shall be deposited at the beginning of each quarter as follows: January 1st, March 1st, June 1st, September 1st. The funds shall be deposited earlier if needed at the request of the employee.
