HOUR DAYS. The Employer, with 24-hour prior notice to the Union, may institute a workweek consisting of four consecutive 10-hour days between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday (or Tuesday through Friday), with one-half hour allowed for a lunch period. Friday/ (Monday) may be used as a make-up day, and if utilized, a minimum of eight hours must be scheduled. After 10 hours in a workday, or 40 hours in a workweek, overtime shall be paid at a rate of 2 times the regular rate of pay.

HOUR DAYS. The Sheriff shall implement a pass day/shift preference every six (6) months, based upon seniority in the full-time employee’s respective division. Seniority in a division is determined by the length of time an employee has been in the division. Any voluntary transfer from one division to another shall result in the affected employee’s previous division seniority to cease and a new date for seniority to be established by the effective date of the voluntary transfer into the new division. The Employer shall post the shifts thirty (30) days prior to the start of the shift schedule. Shift rotation for employees working twelve (12) hour shifts will be January 1st through July 1st, and July 1st through January 1st.
HOUR DAYS. All time worked in excess of twelve (12) hours per workday or forty (40) hours per workweek shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1- 1/2) the employee's rate of pay, including shift differential, if applicable. All time worked on the fifth (5th) and sixth (6th) consecutive day of work shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). All time worked on the seventh (7th) consecutive day of work shall be paid at the rate of double (2) time.

After ten (10) hours in a workday or 40 hours in a work week, overtime shall be paid at a rate of one and one half times the regular rate of pay Friday may be used as a make-up day, and if utilized, a minimum of eight (8) hour’s work must be scheduled. The make-up day does not apply to one individual, but the entire crew on the job. The make-up day may be utilized for time lost due to holidays, inclement weather or extenuating circumstances out of the control of the Employees. In order for the holiday to qualify for a make-up day, the job has to be working a four-10’s schedule before the holiday. No Employee shall be penalized for not working a make-up day.
HOUR DAYS. In the event the Company intends to introduce ten (10) hour shifts, the Company and the Union will meet and agree upon adjustments to the agreement in areas such as suspensions, bereavement, breaks, overtime, vacation, call-in, paid holidays and floater days in a way which is consistent with the collective agreement.
