Hot Meals. Where Maintenance, Repair or Construction Employees are required to work two (2) hours or more overtime beyond their normal shift, at the request of the Employee, the Company will provide a hot meal for consumption at the site.

Hot Meals. An employee who begins work on a scheduled shift and is then required to work unscheduled overtime in excess of one hour, will be given one-half hour off with pay to obtain a hot meal which the Company will provide if practicable. If it is not practicable to provide a hot meal, the Company will provide a cold meal. Every four hours thereafter, the Company will supply a lunch and hot beverage.

Hot Meals. In situations where unscheduled overtime has become necessary, employees will be paid twenty-five dollars ($25.00) in lieu of a meal after ten (10) hours. If an employee works more than twelve (12) hours, then the company will provide a hot meal, to be consumed by the employee(s) on company time. The exception to this $25.00 rule shall be in situations where the employer provides a meal to the workers, or the compensation for the meal at which time no $25.00 shall be paid.

CALL OUTS A call out is not considered overtime and will not be distributed as per section (Overtime Work). Should the Company call out any employee to work he shall, be paid one and one-half times the hourly rate for time worked by him. The minimum paid will be hours at his applicable hourly rate. The premium hours earned in this article can be banked. Refer to Article for the limits for such time to be banked. The hours worked or the hours the employee is paid for a call-out shall not be considered as time worked for the purpose of determining entitlement to overtime pay under section (Overtime Rate). A travel allowance will be paid in accordance with the Company policy. STAND-BY PAY Stand-by shall be administered in the following manner:

PUNCH CARDS If the Company changes, amends or alters an employee’s punch card for any reason, the employee will be notified before the end of the current pay period. Card rates will be updated to reflect the level of operation, permanent promotion or demotion. METRIFICATION The Company will pay the cost of all education related to the metric system if such education is deemed necessary by the Company. In those cases where an employee already owns a tool in Imperial measure and the Company requires him to own the equivalent tool in metric measure, the Company will pay for of the cost of the required metric tool.
