Hospital Appointment. Hospital appointments to the medical/dental staff of clinical departments and programs, now or hereafter established, of physicians or dentists who either will not hold University appointments or will also hold part-time or adjunct University appointments will be made in accordance with the Hospital’s by-laws, policies and/or procedures. The Chief of the Hospital Department may consult the Chair of the corresponding University department regarding the appointment. For greater certainty, the parties agree that the Hospital does not require the University’s approval with respect to such appointments. Hospital appointments of staff who will hold full-time University appointments may be made only upon the recommendation of both the Chief of the Hospital Department and the Chair of the University of Toronto Clinical Department, hereinafter referred to as “Chair”, or the Xxxx of a Health Faculty. Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted to limit the Hospital’s right to unilaterally alter, suspend or terminate the privileges of its Medical-Dental staff in accordance with its by-laws and the Public Hospitals Act as amended from time to time or to require approval of the University in such circumstances.

Hospital Appointment. ‌ Hospital appointments of dentists to the medical/dental staff of any clinical program or service, now or hereafter established, shall be made in accordance with the Hospital’s by-laws, policies and/or procedures. In the case of dentists who will teach Students and will be responsible for a course or a substantial part of a course and/or grade Students, the Hospital appointment may be made only upon the recommendation of both the Chief of the Hospital department and the Xxxx of the Faculty of Dentistry. Hospital appointments of physicians to the medical/dental staff, now or hereafter established, will be made in accordance with the Hospital’s by-laws, policies and/or procedures and, in the case of physicians who qualify for University appointments under the University’s Policy for Clinical Faculty (attached as Schedule 1), having regard to and reasonably consistent with the Policy for Clinical Faculty (attached as Schedule 1) and the Procedures Manual for Policy for Clinical Faculty (attached as Schedule 2).   • Medical/Dental Appointments ‌ Where medical and/or dental appointments cannot be scheduled outside the employee's working hours, sick leave with pay shall be granted.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.

  • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.

  • Initial Appointment Upon initial appointment, a bargaining unit employee shall be issued a letter of offer, signed by the xxxx/director, citing specific terms and conditions of employment and his or her initial assignment of responsibilities. The University may enclose informational addenda, except that such addenda may not abridge the employee's rights or benefits provided in the BOT-UFF Agreement or BOT- UFF Policies. All academic year appointments for employees at a University shall begin on the same date. Two weeks prior to the beginning of classes each semester, the University shall send to the UFF Chapter a list of bargaining unit employees hired since the beginning of the previous semester, showing name; rank or title; department, college, program or employment unit; salary; and principal place of employment (campus). The initial letter of offer shall contain the following elements:

  • Provisional Appointment An employee with provisional status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such a provisional appointment.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.

  • Continuing Appointment A continuing appointment shall continue until retirement or until otherwise terminated pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Medical and Dental Appointments An employee may attend a medical consultation, receive dental treatment or be absent because of sickness for less than one-half day without reduction of sick leave credits and/or pay.

  • SUPPLIER'S APPOINTMENT The Authority hereby appoints the Supplier as a potential provider of the Services and the Supplier shall be eligible to be considered for the award of Orders for such Services by the Authority and Other Contracting Bodies during the Term and in consideration of the Supplier agreeing to enter into this Framework Agreement and to perform its obligations under it the Authority agrees to pay and the Supplier agrees to accept on the signing of this Framework Agreement the sum of one (£1.00) pound sterling (receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the Supplier).

  • Joint Appointments 22A.09 When sound academic reasons exist for doing so, a Faculty Member may be appointed jointly to two (2) or more Academic Departments or Faculties. Such appointments shall be at the same rank, of the same type and with the same salary rate, in the Academic Departments or Faculties concerned. When sound academic reasons exist for doing so, a Faculty Member may be appointed jointly to an Academic Department and to a non-academic unit within the University. The Faculty Member shall have his/her rank, type of appointment, academic component of salary, credit for previous experience, promotion eligibility and other academic conditions determined on the same basis as for other Faculty Members. If such Faculty Members commence working entirely in one (1) Academic Department, their salary shall be in accordance with this Collective Agreement.
