Honoring Cards. A. Merchant shall honor all Cards when presented in accordance with these Rules for the purchase of goods or services or in processing a request for credit resulting from such a transaction, by an authorized holder of a Card without imposing any special conditions not required by any Rules. However, if Merchant does not deal with the public at large (for example, if business is a private club), Merchant is required to honor a valid Card only if presented by a cardholder who has purchasing privileges or a membership.
