Common use of Holidays on Saturday or Sunday Clause in Contracts

Holidays on Saturday or Sunday. For employees who are regularly scheduled to work Monday to Friday, when any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday, the Employer may select the preceding Friday or following Monday as the day of observance of such holiday for all purposes under the collective agreement. For employees who work from a seven day work week schedule, all holiday premiums are payable for the day on which the actual holiday falls.
