If Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, the holiday shall be observed on the previous Friday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday shall be observed as a holiday. If a holiday falls on an employee's regular day off employee shall be credited with equivalent time to either compensatory time or vacation leave.

Holidays Observed by the City. Effective upon the first full pay period following ratification for this MOU by Stockton Police Officers Association and approval by the City Council on its regular agenda in accordance with the Xxxxx X. An employee unable to be released for this time shall receive four (4) hours of compensatory time or vacation leave. If any of the above holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the previous Friday shall be observed as a holiday. If a holiday falls on an employee's regular day off, an employee shall be entitled to equivalent time off at a later date, and such time shall be credited to the employee’s compensatory time off at the straight time rate.

  • EMPLOYEE JURY SERVICE (check one or more boxes) Contractors with original or amended contracts in excess of $100,000 must have and adhere to a written policy that provides its employees living in San Mateo County up to five days regular pay for actual jury service in the County. Contractor complies with the County’s Employee Jury Service Ordinance. Contractor does not comply with the County’s Employee Jury Service Ordinance. Contractor is exempt from this requirement because: the contract is for $100,000 or less. Contractor is a party to a collective bargaining agreement that began on (date) and expires on (date), and intends to comply when the collective bargaining agreement expires.   • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • Written Employee Jury Service Policy 1. Unless the Contractor has demonstrated to the County’s satisfaction either that the Contractor is not a “Contractor” as defined under the Jury Service Program (Section 2.203.020 of the County Code) or that the Contractor qualifies for an exception to the Jury Service Program (Section 2.203.070 of the County Code), the Contractor shall have and adhere to a written policy that provides that its Employees shall receive from the Contractor, on an annual basis, no less than five days of regular pay for actual jury service. The policy may provide that Employees deposit any fees received for such jury service with the Contractor or that the Contractor deduct from the Employee’s regular pay the fees received for jury service.

  • Religious Objections Any employee who is a member of a bonafide religion, body, or sect which has historically held conscientious objections to joining or financially supporting public employee organizations shall not be required to join or financially support the organization. Such employee shall, in lieu of periodic dues or agency shop fees, pay sums equal to said amounts to a non-religious, non-labor charitable fund exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, which has been selected by the employee from a list of such funds designated by the parties hereto in a separate agreement. Such payments shall be made by payroll deduction as a condition of continued exemption from the requirements of financial support to the Union and as a condition of continued employment.
